Education

  • Columbia Gorge Community College

    College of higher education that offers a variety of careers in the areas of General Education, Arts and Humanities, Technical Education, Science; as well as preparation and guidance to enter school and more.

  • Mid Columbia Children Council

    MCCC is a non profit that ensures that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have access to a high- quality, early childhood education. The Head Start program offers no- cost preschool to eligible families.

Medical

  • Hope Medical Clinic

    Free clinic for women who need support regarding their pregnancy and the available options for them to decide what’s best for their wellbeing.

  • Northshore Medical Group

    Community clinic offering services in the areas of general medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and more. It also offers evaluations that need more care. Spanish speaking.

Social Services

  • Safe Space Children's Advocacy Center of the Gorge

    Safe Space is an organization that brings together protection staff, law enforcement professionals, family advocates, medical and mental health experts all in one place to support children that have been exposed to physical and sexual abuse.

  • Hood River Valley Adult Center

    Organization that offers service to seniors, including food served daily for $5 (suggested donation). It also offers loan of medical equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs and more, rental of books from its library, support groups and health counselors.

  • Court Appointed Special Advocates CASA

    Columbia Gorge CASA recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers - just like you - to advocate for these children and ensure that they do not languish in the well-meaning, but overburdened child welfare system.

  • Youth Empowerment Shelter

    Shelter that provides physical and emotional safety for youth in crisis. It also assists them to build positive relationships and develop their individual potentials.

  • Washington Gorge Action Programs

    Washington Gorge Action Programs is a human services organization dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities address basic human needs, such as Nutrition Assistance, Emergency Housing, Domestic Violence Prevention, Care Coordination, Home Energy Assistance, Home and much more.

  • The Next Door

    Social service organization with a variety of services that includes: Safety net for children at risk of abuse and neglect and victims of crime, parenting support and education, mentoring, education and treatment of high-risk youth and families, leadership opportunities and economic development in our community and more.

  • Oregon Humane Development Corporation

    Oregon Human Development Corporation (OHDC) is a non-profit service organization that has been providing workforce development and associated services for farmworkers and disadvantaged individuals throughout Oregon continuously since 1979. These services include support, referral, advocacy, resources, assistance and education.

  • CultureSeed

    CultureSeed is a nonprofit organization located in the Columbia Gorge, that offers BIPOC youth long-term Outdoor Immersion and Outdoor Mentorship with a focus on Mental Health.

  • People for People

    People for People provides career guidance, training assistance, and support services to guide our participants to self-fulfilling jobs that lead to self-sufficiency or wage recovery. Service available in Stevenson and White Salmon.

Legal Services & Immigration

  • Immigration Counseling Services

    Immigration Counseling Service is an independent nonprofit immigration law firm, with offices in Hood River and Portland, and a monthly legal clinic in Central Oregon. Service includes high quality low-cost immigration legal services, outreach, and education to foreign-born residents of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

  • Oregon Law Center

    Oregon Law Center (OLC) provides free legal help to people struggling to make ends meet on matters related to their homes, livelihoods, medical care and physical safety against domestic violence.

Food Banks

  • Gorge Grown Food Network

    Gorge Grown Food Network is a web of individuals and organizations working to build a vibrant local food system. Consumers can access to farmers market and other relevant information in the five counties of the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and Washington.

  • Fish Food Bank

    FISH serves people in need of food assistance in Hood River County and Mosier. It’s a partner agency of the Oregon Food Bank.

Transportation

  • CAT

    Hood River County Transportation District provides public transportation in Hood River County under the name of Columbia Area Transit (CAT).

    The Mt. Adams Transportation Service is designed to provide an alternative transportation resource to Klickitat County residents who lack transportation resources to meet their basic needs.
