Tuvimos la oportunidad de charlar con Lynn Mason, quien es la Directora de Rural Solutions, una organización que es un proyecto sin fines de lucro del condado de Klickitat, y nos enfocamos en la defensa y promoción de temas relacionados con las comunidades rurales. In this episode of River Streams El Podcast Del Gorge, we had the opportunity to chat with Lynn Mason, Executive Director of Rural Solutions, a nonprofit project of Klickitat County that focuses on advocating for and promoting issues affecting rural communities, particularly child care. Lynn talked with us about the shortage of child care services in the area, how this impacts our community, and how we can help and be part of creating positive change. Rural Solutions is a sister organization of Comunidades. We also discussed our successful community forum held last week in collaboration with Oregon Watershed Group and Oregon State University. The forum focused on two key topics: the importance of the Hood River watersheds and the environment, and how to prepare for wildfires. Everyone who attended received valuable information on how to prepare for different types of fires and how to prevent them. Participants also took part in activities that highlighted how watershed pollution affects our community and what we can do to help protect these vital resources.
